The heartbeat sound effect in the background was a quite nice detail. I also do love how the story starts from birth, and then you grow up and things kinda just happen outta nowhere pretty quickly. The choice of colors and story are both intriguing— even though this game something of it still felt new or somewhat... omniscent in some way.
The heartbeat was effective for creating tension and I thought the game worked well even if you didn't make it as expanded as you wanted. I think a lot of people procrastinated so you aren't alone there haha. Good work <3
As someone who’s also worked on a 3D project, I feel a bit of solidarity here.
If anyone asked me how to tell a detailed story with very few elements, I’d show them this game. Some parts genuinely resonated with me, maybe because I’ve experienced some of what’s depicted—I’ve been a 'Boy in the Play' too. Behaviors that were considered strange, and the experience of masking, are portrayed here in such an authentic, heartfelt way and yet clever.
Wow, what a beautiful and powerful way to tell a story. There were so many moments where I really saw myself in it. It reminded me a bit of episodes from What Remains of Edith Finch too. The choice of art is particularly intriguing, with its colors and central metaphor of the garden and freedom. The most striking scene for me is that practice of not looking directly into the eyes. Truly, truly quite impactful. The one thing I wished I could do was go fullscreen, which I couldn't get to work when playing on the web version here on Itch. For some reason, the option to play in fullscreen wasn't showing up in the corner, which was a bit of a nuisance when I had to use the mouse to look around.

That was a really well thought out story. You did a great job evoking anxiety in me with a very great use of minimalistic visuals.
