This is a really nice game!
The mechanical complexity was really nice! The mixture of different unit costs, the cooldown timer, and the enemy boss having its own healthbar that could be taken down by shooting at it added some good depth to the tower defense aspects. I do think the artwork could have benefited from being more cohesive, however, since the sketch-style drawings mixed with the pixel art caused some assets to feel somewhat out of place. Aside from that, solid work!
Nice game, I managed to complete it on my first attempt. However, after achieving victory, I encountered a small issue where the screen seemed to lock on the victory screen. Nevertheless, overall, it was a good start.
The end pausing is intentional since I didn't have time to have a proper win/lose screen, I forgot to disable everything else so you can technically hit esc and unpause the game in the background. I didn't add a restart button to the victory screen since I assumed people wouldn't want to replay it. I only added one on the lose screen.
So I like the concept you did for the game and I enjoy the artstyle you had for the game. Really like the castle design and the enemies. Plus I like the mini character you could use. Few issues was while it was cool the castle could transform it couldn't transform back so made it where I was unable to transform back. It still had it where I could deploy bots. Also it seem I was only able to deploy one of them but the rest weren't working. Also game doesn't end when boss is defeated. Still great approach and idea you had here and I like the art you did for this game. :)
The version here is missing a lot. I couldn't upload the latest build because a few things are still broken. I am hoping to upload an update tonight that will at least have the Mech transformation fixed and all three units in the game.
Np. Just wanted to point that out and I can tell you all put a lot of hard work into it.
