Controls feel good and interesting screen effects with the smokes. Why I was breathing all the weird smoke was bit confusing to me. Still a successful jam submission. Good job!
i didn't understand how to consume flames while also dying? i think you should've kept the scope smaller so you'd have more time for polish and testing. shooting enemies is always fun tho
okay where to start, first of all congratulations on actually completing a playable version of this game seeing as the concept is quite ambitious thus you deserve many thanks for persevering and actually reaching a playable state, the visuals while nice feel quite unpolished, with the environment still feeling like placeholders, the color overlay you get inhaling fumes is very distracting and ruins visual clarity in my opinion, while the sound effects are properly implemented they feel a bit too unbalanced in volume, and the breathing sound is quite annoying after a while, but audio wise everything works well, as for the gameplay, while it plays well it gets a bit too repetitive fast, I suggest adding more abilities and functions to spice up the gameplay loop, consider improving the mobility and perhaps including a dodge or roll, that will give more options than just to shoot enemies head on, and I really like the added plot and narrative, it really gives a sense of depth to the game and dialogue is quite the fun addition albeit I would've liked if the UI was better designed a bit both artistically and from a UX take, his is quite the ambitious game yet it plays way better than expected, excellent job completing a game of this caliber in such a short time, overall the experience was very fun and well packaged, the game just needs some visual improvements and further polish.
