Themes
Peaceful, I guess. (Didn't have time to implement violence! :P)

Tools
I used myown IDE GameBeans.io for the most part. Benefits were largely further development of that tool itself. For art I used GIMP.

Lessons
Same thing I learn every jam then forget. I need to lower my expectations of my self and my time.

Oh, it’s too rare to see trading games in jams. Really nice!

Nice demo. Seems like a start for the interesting game! Sometimes buttons don't want to press.

very great game, and  its impressive as its your own engine made from scratch, one thing to point out though, is that the movement does feel a bit unresponsive sort of delayed between each key click. Other than that great job

Cool use of your custom IDE, makes for a nice demo of the possibilities :) Fun idea and some cool scenes you made with when entering the city and interacting with the guard / trader!

Just happened to have devtools open while loading this and I’m impressed! A single 233 kB file? I’m going to check out GameBeans.

Ha, thanks. And yeah the single file is because GameBeans includes the source for images and audio as encoded strings. Probably not the best solution size wise but I like the convenience of it, it also means the compiled game can just be run, you don't need to run a webserver to get around browser security even locally which is good for just quickly throwing builds at friends on Discord or something. :)
