Interesting and unique. Love the cheesy opening :)
A really uncomfortable experience in the best possible way! All of your design choices work really well to build a real sense of anxiety, especially the combination of slow movement speed, the long waits and slow reveals for new environmental scans and the useful but also unnerving audio sensor.
The audio design works very well, with my favourite moment being a loud banging noise from behind a door I couldn't find a way around to- I felt a weird sense of both guilt and relief that I couldn't find a way around to discover what was making that sound!
My only suggestion would be some way to get a sense of your location - I think a minimap would be too much information, as letting the player get lost feels like it really helps the experience here, but a little something to aid in navigation would definitely help for the return trip. Maybe even just a compass?
My final score was $10,500
Thank you! A compass or something of the sort was definitely something I wanted to add but it would be too late by that point. I plan on adding some more to the game later on to make it easier to play and maybe even show what's behind those doors.
What game engine did you use?
I used Godot 4
Good voice acting! I like the tonal shift of the game from the intro video to the actual game. Great job!
Thank you! I didn't exactly plan for that but I love how it ended up.
