the different mechanics interacted in interesting ways, which was surprising to me since the game is so small in scope. nice job!
I enjoyed ya game - I think the art and sword animations looks neat. Nice work!
The graphics are cool, the mechanics work well. I am missing some music but at least there's sound. Four buttons to play an endless runner? I would try to reduce that number.
The concept is really good! I really enjoy joining a management mechanic in these types of infinite loop games. I have some feedback regarding the visuals though. First of all the background is really well done, also loved the dithering on the title screen! I think the blue enemy should have either a face, or another distinguishing feature so that it becomes more intuitive that he's not a power-up which you grab by touching, as mana is represented as blue in the UI. I found the hitbox to be also a bit small, which can make it more frustrating than it needed to be. Great job nevertheless!
Totally agree that the blue enemy should be more intuitively distinguishable. Actually, during the development time I even said something like "That looks more like a mana crystal/orb", but I started the project quite late and I sort of ran out of time.
Regarding the hitbox, initially, I was planning to make the regular attack's range upgradable just like the skill attack, but ended up scrapping the idea at the last minute. Hopefully, it didn't frustrate you too much ( T . T )
Nice jam game. As a concept this could work as a mobile game just fine. -oneak
I think some music could go a long way - something fast paced and heavy! Love the background
My thoughts exactly. Thanks for your feedback!
