Did you work in a team?
I had a lot of fun creating a lot of ways of killing bugs. The ai is very simple but they do have aggro and responds in different ways depending on what the player does and when he or she does it. Creating those mechanics were a challange.

Was the resolution a challenge?
The resolution of the game made it a bit difficult when creating the Graphical representation of life and other stats that the player needs to know but it also speeded up a lot of other things.

The main reason i wanted yo join this jam was to create something new without restrictions from a more serious game and not spending as little time as possible at the sprites and animations. All graphical assets were created using the in application graphical editor (Clickteam Fusion 2.5).

What did you learn?
That i like killing stuff whitout the third dimension.

I learned how to implement enemy aggro, dynamic life counter, incoming/minimapish mechanics and some performance handling when having a lof of enemies moving around on the level.

Honestly I'm surprised this hasn't gotten more comments. For around two weeks of work it's very impressive! My jaw dropped when I saw how big the map was, and it's pretty fun to explore. I like the multiple weapons, which a lot of shooters in this jam don't have.

It's not perfect of course. Some of the graphical effects, like the blood, are very neat, but the UI is a little difficult to read at first. Also with a map this size, it would be nice to have a map screen I could refer to.

I don't know if you plan on doing more with this but I would recommend it!

Thank you. I may have a small issue with keeeping my scope small (Just one more thing...).

Great feedback. I will try to add a minimap or something else to make it easier in the next game of this type.

I tried some random elements to the map aswell but its limited. The walls have 4 settings (32pix chunks) for a small variation. Stones have 32 and bushes 7 + random scaling.I played a lot, a lot and maybe more Diablo2 when i grew up. I want to create a game with elements from D2 but at this time i there is too many things i dont understand how to do.
