due to bugs with movement (jumping on lava & sticking to walls) you can play through the game without ever locking the items

I really like the mechanic of locking objects in place, I wish there'd been more uses of it but I think that's probably just the time limitation. Had a little bit of stickyness with the edges of platforms that could've been solved with some quick physics materials. All in all good concept, pretty fun.

This is a well-implemented yet not very original use of this theme. I've seen it in even other game jams that have had the theme on several occasions. Otherwise, the art was creative and I like the notebook-doodle feel. There was the bug concerning the lava as I'm sure you've heard and you could stick to walls, but the movement felt good. I like the sound design and the music is passable, but I feel like there should be more visual and auditory feedback when you die, restart, or complete a level. I like the name and I see that you fixed the music bug, so props for that!

The blocks that are freezing in time when you click them are a good mechanic, but it was't that exploited until the last level. Also, it tried to explainthe mechanic with the blocks falling to lava, but I foudn a bug here that allowed me to jump on lava, so I didn't had to use it.

The restarting the level after dead or at will in a plataformer wasn't a very original idea, since it was what most other games did, but your idea sticked to the jam, as you had to reset the level to get the coin and the ending of the level. Sadly, this is not a very original implementation of the theme.

The sound got the job done, it was a short loop that setted the mood for the game, not terribly oog, but not bad either. Of all the mechanics you added, I think the freezing block when restart is the oen that shows the most potential, and that add an interesting twist to the genre you chose for your game.

In general, there were a lot of bugs that broke the level design that you had intended, from colliders sticking character to the walls to infinite jumping. But for a jam game, this is ok!

Congrats!

Please play our game!

The restart mechanic is only really used in the first and last level, and the second level is impossible. The music is repetitive, and you can literally jump in lava if you hold space.
