The Ultimate Caster
Please describe your creation.
The Ultimate Caster is a magic casting 1-vs-1 game, where the player creates hand signs in their Magic Circle and then throws magic spells depending on the direction they swing their hand off the sensor.
This was actually my first game jam, and my first time coding in C#.
Once I cast my first spell, I realized the Leap Motion can really let you have a real visceral connection to the game, and I kinda felt like a design that favored something that wasn't tactile would suit it well.
Halfway through the jam, I realized I had a sort of "Magic Casting Super Punch-Out" on my hands. So I tried to focus that when making the music, VO, and overall mood. Came to an interesting juxtaposition with my natural desire for a wacky, silly aesthetic.
Leap Motion really helped me make something interesting.

Thank you so much, jdneidig! It's great to hear that people are enjoying it! :D
Great Job! Very fun to play!
Thanks! :D
I've actually thought about drawing runes on screen for, like, ultra-special magics! The screen could slow down while you put in something tricky, maybe. There's just so much I can do with this game!
Checking out your game now!
Heya, I really LOVE your finger/gesture recognition algorithm. You should check out my Shape Algorithm as well. I've used it for menu/UI navigation, but after seeing your work, I realized that "drawing a shape + firing that shape of particles towards your enemy" would be epic!
Good job! 5/5
