Nice little game. Going for the stars was fun, but I also really liked making huge jumps to go through the level fast. A speedrun of the game could be very fun! I would have liked if you could change the speed of your current meteor, as some were a bit too slow. Really nice idea.
Thank you
Great execution on the theme, complete with music, sound effects, and a totally brutal final boss level.
As has already been mentioned, having the player fall downwards goes against the player's expectation, but I also agree that it adds to the challenge. Should you continue development, you might consider having each asteroid apply light gravitational forces to the player, so that they fly where they expect for the most part, but will still veer off into the abyss if they're completely off the mark.
I nevertheless enjoyed hurling through space and getting eviscerated by lasers.
Well done! :D
Thanks for playing
Cute game! but yeah as mentioned by others, didnt expect it to slowly curve downwards, and the camera transition can be better. Overall a good game here xD
Thanks, the curve was intentional, so that jumps can be a bit trickier.
Epik! game man it was really fun
Thank you
Few things that come to mind are-
1. When I jump off a rock, I expect it to go straight rather than slowly curve and fall down (SPACE!)
2. When I jumped while my character was directed at another rock, the jump direction was slightly off from the start of the jump. (If you are executing the jump mechanic in the local "up" direction of the player, instead of that, you could try measuring the rock and player positions in the world to direct the jump direction away from the center of the rock.)
3. The level needs to be better visible- allowing me to see where I have to go and where I can go.
Overall, it's a nice concept and requires further polish to make it more enjoyable. Nice work, though!
Thanks for playing and I will change these things as soon as the game jam is over
Really well-made game, I love the presentation of it (the audio certainly help me with my anger control after 20 overshooting the little astronaut)!
I think I would prefer the camera switch to the asteroid when you land on then to get more view on top, but it's fun exploring the level too! (speaking of space exploration)
Found a bug at level 4, the little blue/cyan/green astronaut jump out of view when I press the space key. Tried restarting the game, but the bug is still there.
Btw, maybe I just suck, but the boss level felt way too hard, hahaha.
Glad you liked the game, I will check what is wrong with level 4.
