  • Really enjoyed my time here! As someone who loves platformers, this was right up my ally. Gameplay wise, Its a cute little platformer with only basic run and jumping options, which both fit right in with the divide mechanic. Making platforms wasn't too bad, but landing on them and staying put was kinda a challenge, and thats when I realized it was best to mix both holding and releasing the run button for optimal control. Presentation was great! Cute cutscenes, charming lil slime characters, and the music was actually great! Got stuck in my head for a while. The color palette is a bit drab, but maybe that was intentional. either way, it all looks and sounds great, some of the most polished stuff I've seen. Due to me being a big platformer guy, I do have a bit more to say on the matter. For one, the controls felt a little odd to me personally. Its not a huge deal really, thankfully the arrow keys could be used for movement as well! Mostly the run button made it a little more difficult to time jumps. I think I would've preferred if I could see more of the screen at one, so its easier to know where I placed my platforms, especially during jumps over spikes. This sort of micro challenge allows for players to more easily plan how they are to tackle stuff over just hoping I remember exactly where I put my slime platform. I also wonder what would happen if the player wasn't sent back to the previous checkpoint...like what the level design would look like if you gained enough height to jump on top of any spawned platform? not really a complaint, but something I thought about while playing. The spikes also seemed to blend a bit into the environments more than i was prepared for lol. Great work on this game! Cute little game jam project that was really well executed. Would like to see more from you if this is your level of quality for a small jam game.
  • improve the controls and and the going to the checking every time you divide yourself, please.

Your pixel art is extremely good. This game feels very polished. Nice job. I liked the platforming take on it and the intro was quality :D

The thing I didn't like gameplay-wise was that when you place the platforms with C, it resets you to the checkpoint. I'd rather it just have you stop on the platform you just created. That would make it flow better IMO, rather than having to keep going back.
