Barely managed to get the game to run on the web version, but the frame rate was slow and full of lags. from what I can see the art looks nice, and the game looks very big for such a short time frame.

I applaud your ambition and maybe I will try the windows build later.

Good Game!

For jams, a web version is a real plus, , tried the windows build, first comment I have is please support different keyboard layouts (I don’t know how gamemaker manages it but at least add arrows then.

I had one projectile ennemy who ended my first run and on next runs I went through lots of floors without any ennemy.

Also, maybe find a way to generate your floors faster or while the level is playing to shorten loading times ;)

I never got into the game the loading didnt seem to work.

Developer

Try the Windows version.

HTML5 version is little buggy.

It never quite loaded for me. I tried it in Safari and Chrome.

I never got a chance to play. But the art work looks great. Good luck in the jam.

The game looks great, the falling intro is really cool. Would agree about resolution being difficult, but a neat idea to experiment with. I didn't understand some of the items - like what to do with the ladders for example, so some tutorial stuff would make it easier or adding instructions on the game page. It looks like a lot of work for a solo person to do, so well done, it looks and sounds great :)

I adden ladder 🪜 just for fun.

The label have low damage (3 + Floor number + Random) but it throws back opponents with a force 3 times your speed.

And yea thanks for playing:)

Great game, Keep it up!!! Here is my feedback:
-The first thing I would recommend as quickly as possible to get a good first impression from players is to fix the webpage of the game I had to zoom out to 33% to see the game properly and yet the web version didn't so i downloaded it.
-I also noticed that the player sticks to walls and makes the movement a bit hard (So please consider looking at it), and so does the monsters (they stick to the walls mostly and can't move)
-I would also recommend adding a pause menu and some way to introduce controls (at least include it in the webpage)
-I have also encountered a bug after losing where the game never starts again (it always happens after losing): https://drive.google.com/file/d/19jfZ9kPNdTx3MpZ7w0Pp4CFn5xuqvYQO/view?usp=shari...

-I also recommend working more on the fairness of the game as everytime I encountered a projectile enemy I just die immediately

-I really liked the blocks dropping after exploding, it really added a good vibes
-I also liked the music and SFX
-Great Job also on the procedurally generated level
-Great Job as well on the variety of the weapons added
Overall The Game is really fun to play, and with some tweaks it really can be a great project, keep up the good work !!!

Thanks man :) Music make in Google Music maker lol

About 2 and 4:

It's seem hard to made the normal colision in GM2, so instead i just back player to las x,y cord. maybe fix.
What about the web version of game.... eeea, need just resize the resolution (I never build HTML5 games ever lol).
I addet a Game Over at the end and maybe it can be bugy.

Game doesn't work. Console spits out error after "Floor Generate" before it anything starts. Game player on web is larger than my 1080p screen, having it fullscreen doesn't properly size the game and leaves a scrollbar on display.

Developer

It's look like generation of floor issues.

And yea, game is 1564 pixel.

why

Over 90% of desktop users have 1920x1080p screens or smaller. You need at least a 4K monitor to play this pixel art game. This really limits who gets to see and play your work. I have no experience with gamemaker but I seriously encourage you to have an entry with a more common resolution and have it be scalable to fit more monitor sizes.

Developer

Yea, my miscalculation.

Soon I will fixed that.
