Very short and the font + color choice makes it kind of hard to read.  It's a decent start that I could see unfolding into something greater.

It feel like it is a bit too short to give a proper review. There is not much in terms of writing to go on and give an idea of what is happening, even after going through all of the possible options. I think you wanted to have 3 different partners but maybe ran out of time before you could implement it?

I had a feel of Hunger Games meets Squid Games type of feel? There is definitely potential in there, but you don't have a lot of choice in what you are doing (or how it impact the character/story). Some of the endings mention a Nick, but we are never introduced to them beforehand (which is fine, but the story ends there, so what's the point?).

I feel like there was a lot missing between each part. How is the MC feeling? Do they feel worry/dread or are they calm? What's their opinions/thoughts on what is happening (do they agree/disagree)?

Gotta give you some props for making your own background music. That was dope.

Other small things:

  • Is it normal the director is named []? Why []?
  • Let's what each other's back -> had to read that multiple times to see if I just read it wrong or not. There are some other typos here and there as well. But that was the thing that stuck the most.
  • It was not really the best font to use. Made it a bit hard to read, which is not great when the whole thing of this game is just text...

Congrats on publishing your first game here!

Thank you for your kind feedback manonamora.

I had a lot of interesting ideas planned (character generator-stats effects conversations and events, pixel artwork, and more) but I didn't have enough free time to work on them. I'm ashamed that I had to cut all of it and settle with a very rough first draft just to submit.

I entered this jam to really push myself out of my comfort zone. I'm sure the platformer I'm working on will benefit from this experience.

Aaah don't feel shame at all! Especially if this something that pushed out out of your comfort zone (would have prob worked in your advantage to include it in the game description ;)

I understand the feeling of having to cut things due to time constraint, so don't feel too bad about it. This will be a good experience for your next project (or this one if you plan on continuing it :) )
