i looove the art, concept, sound design, and general way this game feels SO much, it just feels like it's being held back by a few little QoL/balance issues.
kinda like another commenter mentioned, it'd be nice if the produce either stacked or if it automatically moved to the next "filled" item slot when one was emptied, or even just being able to use the scroll wheel instead of number keys would make it a bit more convenient. with how many button presses it took to restock turrets for how quickly they'd deplete, it didn't really feel worth it to use them in favor of just beating robots with the wrench.
i DO legit really think though, if the ammo farming was just ironed out a tiny bit this would be an incredible little tower defense type game because i do love everything else about it!! and seeing how down-to-the-wire it was for you (just over a minute before deadline...) i totally understand.
(also i love using the wrench, when i found out you could bounce it off the back of robots for more hits that was so funnnn)
thank you so much for the feedback!! we will make sure to balance out the gameplay in the post-jam version
The concept is fun, the art is stunning, but I can't figure out how to build a turret for the life of me
sorry, could have been explained by Lete Pal. in build mode (activate by R), you can press 1 2 or 3 to build a turret. 1 is small, 2 is medium etc.
Gotcha, thanks
The game looks very nice but unfortunately several problems make the game waaaaaay too confusing to be playable... It's just too confusing ! I recognize that it's mostly my fault because I have trouble reading, but still, it was very hard to read and understand the instructions and to make sense of all the insane combinaisons of keys to do anything... Eventually I found your comment telling how to do fullscreen to fix the problem, but then I found out the game doesn't follow for some reason and your mouse position and GUI stay inside the original resolution for some reason... I really tried but, I never really succeeded in making anything work ^^'
Also pleaaaase remember all keyboards in the world are not qwerty...
Rlly like the concept, heres a few ideas
- Camera Movement Jarring when moving alot
- Make fruits stackable
- Or make it so it auto selects the first slot thats empty when picking up items and depositing ammo that it switches to the first correct ammo for comfort
- Auto Pickup Scrap in certain radius / Magnet
- Scalable Window / Fullscreen
thank you so much for the feedback!! you can fullscreen with alt+enter, i forgot to add that to the descriptino
