A fun game. The narrative is engaging. Multiple pathways through the story are possible. A great exercise in how to write a short IF story.

Pretty decent writing but the story barely has time to starts.

I feel like it should not be _possible_ to miss the main plot. Stuff should happen to the protagonist anyhow and I think you should leave the reader the choice to be a Mulder (an easily convinced believer) or a Scully (a true sceptic) through experience.
But maybe the lesson here is that being a "good student" leads to the most boring experiences in life ? :D

Thanks for the comment! I appreciate your feedback - though I would point out that the demo is labelled as unfinished, so that's why the story barely starts! I was bumping up against the deadline and realized I need to give each path a temporary resolution so there wasn't just a bunch of broken paths.  It's a wonky way of doing a demo but it was either that or not submit, lol.

And absolutely, the plot will find the player one way or another! The Idea, as much as there was one, was that if the MC does go to class, they'll get a text about the 'prank' in the quad and be roped into it then, or something along that line. My only plan was 'you're at college, and there are ghosts' so how exactly that unfolds is yet to be seen.

Rereading myself, I see my comment being a little harsh, that was not my intention. It was mainly a fun play and I took pleasure in exploring the many paths !

I enjoyed this. It's short but sweet. It very much feels like chapter 1 to something bigger, much like how Choice of Game games are broken up into chapters. It'd be cool if you expanded this into something larger.

Thank you, that's very kind!

I'd definitely like to expand this! I had no real set plan for the story, but I enjoyed writing what I've done so far and I'm pleasantly surprised that people like it! I'll probably clean up the demo soon and then work on expanding it into a full game, so keep an eye out! :D

The good:

I have enjoyed this game very much.

I'm not a native speaker english, so I don't like word's walls but...

...in this game the inmersive literacy is amazing. I didin't skip any text. I have read all. I have liked this game so much.

It's replayable so playing game extends a little.

The bad: I really want more 0_o

Thank you so much! That's kind of you to say and I'm glad you liked it! I actually was wondering whether it was too wordy in parts so this is helpful feedback. I definitely want to expand this into a full game! It was fun to write and I want to get into the actual spooky parts.
