Saving Princess Sita is a dungeon crawler set in the Ramayana universe where you move the legendary monkey army through the palaces of Lanka sabotaging the demon king Raavan’s army and avoiding drawing attention. You can’t control the monkey army directly and they are not the sharpest tool in the shed. Throw some bananas to help them navigate undetected through the demon king’s fortress.

We took the myth of the Monkey Army from Ramayana and made a game about how the great monkey god Hanuman and his army infiltrated Lanka, which was the base of operations for the demon king Ravana.

How to Play-

Left Click anywhere on designated to throw Bananas to instruct directions to your monkeys.
Your goal is to collect every letter from Princess Sita and break the arms and shrines around the room.
Avoid being spotted by the demons in the room, by guiding your monkeys and making them hide behind walls, tables, and barrels

This was excellent! The art style was great, the level design clearly had a lot of effort put into it and the gameplay was fun. I don't think I've seen a stealth game where you control mobs, but it works a lot better than I would have thought.

The only issue I had is that it took two buttons presses or scrolls to switch monkey groups, I think it would be more responsive if that could be changed so it always only took one button press or scroll each way.

This was a great entry, a shame it has so few ratings.

Really great game. In my top 3 for the jam for sure. Idea of controlling a swarm is fantastic.

Wow. Amazing game.  I loved the mechanism to control the monkeys.   I'd love to see you take this game further post-jam.

WOW! An unexpectedly cool project and it works! When the monkeys were caught, I cried...really

I played it from direct download. I liked everything about it. A brilliant gameplay mechanism of hiding under the carpets and in barrels. Guards who go Hrmmm when they can't find them LOL. Played it the whole way through.

Hard to fault this one. Maybe it's a tad easy? You can easily tweak that. Well done!!

Game would not install for me from the itch.io Windows app. I will try direct download later.

Sorry about that, if you could direct download and it give it try we would really appreciate it!

Fantastic game. I enjoyed the well-thought out gameplay mechanics a lot! Well-designed levels! While the level graphics are pleasing to the eye, they same can't be said about the fullscreen cutscene. Consider not making them fullscreen, but instead with a black frame. Overall a high-quality entry!
