The art style is really comforting. The idea that you remember skills along the way is a really nice mechanic that fits the theme really well. The game is really polished and the UI looks great. I didn't know great games could be made in HTML5 as i thought it was for websites only. Could please please tell me how you learnt to make games in HTML5?

I actually use a game Engine called Godot. Godot (or any other game Engine) is kind of like Scratch but with way more features you can use to make bigger and better games. Once you create a game on Godot, you can export the game AS an html5 game (you can also export it as a Windows game, Mac game, etc.). There are tutorials out there that can help you get started learning Godot and the learning process would be  similar to Scratch just with more features to learn. Also, you wouldn't have to use Godot, you could choose a different game Engine such as Unity or Unreal Engine. I would suggest doing a little research to see which game Engine you should use based on what kinds of games you want to make. Looking at your jam submission, I think you have what it takes to start learning a bigger game Engine if you have the patience. I'm glad you enjoyed my game, and I wish you the best of luck if you start learning a new game Engine!

Loved the art and color palette, also enjoyed the emptiness the music carried. The story and art I thought mingled very well.  The game mechanics where well implemented and I liked that one had options in different keys to play with, I struggled with the x and z so it was nice being able to use shift and space.  The maze being a Loop , returning us to where we started was very haunting. Enjoyed the game, great job!

Классный платформер. Озвучка в тему средневековья. Но нет подсказок что делать, куда идти. Тут по типу открытый мир в 2д, делай что хочешь )) Про навязчивые воспоминания не совсем понял, чем они проявляются

Hi, I had to put your message into Google Translate to understand. The game is supposed to be open world so you can explore and figure out where to go by yourself. Also, I don't know if you can read English, but the scenes at the beginning and the end explain that the character has lost his memory and is trying to find his way out of the forest. I'm glad you liked the game though!

Nice job! I loved how the moviment work, it felt very very fluid. And the artwork was pretty impressive too.

Love the mechanics! Even though the wall jump is a bit hard to get at first, once you understand it, it’s a blast. I tried to speed run it, but I’m pretty bad at it. I love the Noita-ish pixel art. I just think the music is a bit repetitive, but otherwise, no complaints. Really like the game and hope you continue developing it!

I had fun playing the game. It took me a few tries to beat it but after I saw your comment on holding jump to wall jump I was able to get through the level and beat the game. I enjoyed the ending, it made going through the game worth it.

There was a couple of points near the beginning where the game would freeze momentarily but then it unfreezes and you can keep playing. Felt like something was loading? Besides that the game play was smooth. Definitely felt like I was playing a metroidesque game.

The art was really cool, oh and the cutscene intro at the beginning was well made in my opinion.

Overall, it was a great experience with a decent challenge. I probably played it for about 30-40 minutes total  throughout three playthroughs.

Thanks for giving it a try! I'm really glad you enjoyed the game!

I liked the challenge and ending. The platforming mechanics were great and being able to charge up your characters speed was fun. Good job!

I really enjoyed that! Your game had an awesome level design, that scaled naturally in relation to the player's abilities, and it felt quite polished compared to most other game jam games I've played. Great work!

Thanks, I really appreciate it!

I like the art, theme adherence and mechanics for this one, it came together really nicely!

Unfortunately I got stuck in my story playthrough because using the slide, if you dont slide all the way to the end of a channel, you can stand up and get stuck, and then no longer slide left or right at all. The intro is quite long so I didn't want to rewatch that and tried to speedrun version instead, and I got further there with all the powers already unlocked, but still ended up getting stuck in the same way.

The slide feels really good otherwise, I can definitely see the speedrun potential. I didn't find the wall jump very smooth or intuitive.

Thanks for the feedback! The sliding bug is fixed and I added a couple tutorial boxes that clear up some of the confusing mechanics. I do hope you'll give it another try now!

Oh yay! I had another go and got much further this time, far enough that I could see how nicely you've designed the level to take the player on a loop. I think that's really cool! I still sadly didn't make it to the end.

The final sliding section all in one go is awesome and really fun, but I think I'd have had to do SO MUCH in one go and I'm not skilled enough for that, there were too many walljumps that still didn't quite activate. The tutorials helped a lot, I was able to understand much better how to use the controls and what was expected of me. Definitely great improvements, though I'm sad to have missed the ending (I have a guess where you might have taken it with the story)

Thanks for trying again, and I'm glad you had fun! A tip for wall jumping is to only hold the Jump button with no directional keys. This will automatically make you jump when you get next to the wall, letting you do the wall jumps super fast. If you really want to get end and see the ending cutscene you could try again using the wall jump technique I just explained, but I totally understand if you're tired of playing this game and don't have the motivation to play it any more.
