I really like the concept, it reminds me almost of Zork or Myst, it's really the start of a great story roguelike. My only gripe is that the placing of tiles and making paths and going to the waypoints is all too easy and exploitable, the game would benefit from a bit more challenge and a revamped tile placing logic, maybe making it so only certain numbers of certain types of tiles can be connected like a reverse minesweeper, like only 1 river can be attached to 1 desert but 1 river can be attached to 2 meadows, etc. Besides that, it was a very enjoyable little journey and I love how you made an atmosphere with limited graphics, that's not easy.

I love the addition of the ambient sounds during the story bits! It really brings the player in and gives a really immersive experience. It's very enticing and I look forward to see what happens at the next block.

Great work!

I'm also impressed by your submitting "13 seconds before deadline" you really cut it close lol

I like the improvements made to the card art. The initial sound effects also caught me off guard in a good way. I had played your other entrees and I thought I had an issue where the last card couldn't be played even though I had 3 days left in the phase. I realize now that the phase had changed to the player move phase. I think that maybe you could make it a bit clearer that you should be moving the player as the phases are small and off in the corner. I definitely had a who moved my cheese moment since I had played your game before.

The narrative here is great. Reading the strange situations is definitely the highlight here. Also the sounds and lack of music provide quite an ominous ambience. Great job setting everything up. I wanted more to do. Choices that mattered to me during the walking would have been nice.

Overall though it was a fun little experience. I definitely think play into the spooky more and give consequences to the decision making.

Great job :)

I kind of get this game. Needs more adversity but the texts are enjoyable to read and the gameplay, while simple, is apparent enough that I didn't get lost.

Hah, with all the overlong titles getting cut off, I managed to select the wrong version to submit to the final sprint. This is the design doc instead.

I got confused and did that on the prototype jam, I think if I do this jam again I will name things more carefully, lol. I really love this game though, its great <3
