The style of this game is great. Also controls very well. I downloaded the game and it ran pretty smooth which was nice.
Some things that would be nice additions are:
- an indicator for when you can throw more shurikens
- indication that I'm taking damage
- more accurate hit boxes, I died while very far from the boss
The hit boxes was a pretty big issue for me. I don't feel like I can get close to anything because I don't actually know where my character will get hit at. However, this was still a nice little game with some good promise.
Good job :)
Thanks for playing, not sure what was going on with the hit boxes as I had tested it out before release, didn't find that to be an issue, but I'll investigate, the other things were planned but I didn't have the time unfortunately, thank you for the feedback!
I really like the art style. This time around after playing with a few different browsers and I found one where the frame rate didn't tank as soon as the game started, so I was very happy to be able to walk around this beautiful work.
One thing I think that would improve the gameplay is to add a bit of knock back to enemies when they are hit or to give the player a few invincibility frames when they are attacking to give the player a bit of space if they successfully hit the enemy. This would also help with the player keeping a bit more health as the enemies are bit bullet spongy and I couldn't really tell how much health they had or how many times I needed to hit them.
I has 0 hearts and was still able to carry on. I also got the following error when I died and hit 'R' to restart:
abort() at jsStackTrace@https://v6p9d9t4.ssl.hwcdn.net/html/8371313/InuGaidenWeb/Build/InuGaiden.framewo...

Thanks for the rating, yes I agree with the indicators and such it was mainly a time issue for those as they were planned, as for the restarting that's an issue with the web player so I've since took it down. The health issue I thought I had fixed but apparently not as well as I thought I apologize, the sprites just get miss matched with the amount of health for whatever reason. Thanks for the feedback!
Solid gameplay, i would say the creativity of the boss was the best in here.
Here are some recommendations:
Also i dont know if i did it right, but the skill to walk over holes, is bugged? it didnt let me move over them.
Thank you! I did have the feedback planned, ran out of time unfortunately, as for the hide mouse I can't believe I forgot that 😆 I was too busy testing I didn't even notice it haha my bad, and no it's not a bug, I assume you went back to the pits in the first or second boss fights, unfortunately those pits were not set up due to time, it's mainly just to unlock the final boss room, thanks for all the feedback! I appreciate it.
Big props to you guys, very charming game. The strengths lie in the art and the style, personally I'd like to see a few more mechanics, there's a few bugs such as restarting and huge warnings. Keep it up guys keep working on it and it'll be an amazing game!
Good job! I like the metroidvania concept and the dog is cute. For some reason, my frames did drop on the water / swamp area, though.
Thanks, and yes that's something I was trying to fix but couldn't find the reason behind it unfortunately.
