  • Bow in one place, shield in another, no clear way to get them back together.
  • A really good start at a fun co-cop game. The controls aren't intuitive to figure out at first, a little help there at the start would be good. The overall pacing feels a little slow, including fire rates for the special abilities.
  • There are a good amount of puzzles for a level. The combat reminds me of it takes two (in a good way). The game came out while you guys where in production and that just means that you have the same idea as a hit game :) I played it single player but I think it would have been more fun to play coop as intended. The core mechanics are solid and there is variety in the puzzles to not feel boring. There are bugs when playing single player that I think are not there when playing coop and its has to do with swapping while moving etc. You have to hold the grappling hook a second before it shoots because single click does not fire it. Also the cross-hair is offset wrong when playing on a ultra wide monitor so it was hard to aim. This is all nitpicking thought. For polish I would think about player flow more. The character are stiff in controls and movement and the level has unnecessary long corridors for slow moving characters. This is still a solid prototype that has potential.

I really enjoyed playing Bow & Shield! I played it with Leo Wognum over Parsec and it was a great time. The sounds of the game were very exciting and added to the whole atmosphere of crawling through a dungeon! it was very satisfying to smash the crystal eyes.

Amazing!

Had a great time playing this with a friend (Valter specifically)
We had fun messing around and went on to beat the game without too much trouble
My only feedback is that I'd occasionally lose track of which door would let me progress and which door would lead me back to where I just came. I think this could be helped by putting props or landmarks in various places to make the different door and rooms a bit more distinguishable.
That's my only minor complaint- I had fun!

I LOVED THIS GAME. Felt like i was 12 years old again playing playstation 2 with my brother!

A reasonable well-conceived co-op puzzle game, but playable single-player (just about!).

The mouse turn was too slow for me, but usable.

I quit when the two characters became separated and I couldn’t figure out how to get them back together again.

Thank you for the feedback it is greatly appreciated!
We've unconventionally placed the pause button on the "M" key for technical reasons and it was planned to be moved to "escape" but wasn't due to a personal blunder. In the pause menu there are settings to reduce or increase sensitivity on either player!
the game was indeed meant for co-op  only and we noticed that there was a large difference in how players progressed due to two players being able to observe two areas at the same time, I'm not sure exactly where you got stuck but we would be glad to assist you if you want to give the game another shot!

Well the bow character was in an area in which there were two eyes wearing clothes that stopped him (?) from standing on a pressure pad and wouldn't die. The shield character never made it across the brick wall and was in an area with an eye that was shooting at him (?) when it saw him but otherwise leaving him alone.

Ah yeah, I see what's happened! The bow character is the one supposed to get across the brick wall with the hookshotpoint  above the wall, from there the puzzle should be easier to understand. Hit us up if you get stuck or have any more questions!
