The concept is a good one and I love how cozy the aesthetic is. There is certainly a fun game in here and the potion effects add a wonderful element of chaos to things - as would, I imagine, two players fighting over a real world recipe book. I wish I could play it competitively in person.  An added collision mechanic for the players might have added another level of strategic mischief to the design.

Thank you for playing our game!

We appreciate your feedback and will keep it in mind if we continue developing the game in the future. Unfortunately Covid-19 has ruined a lot of things. Hopefully this game will show up in an arcade hall one day, or at another conference. I would have loved seeing you and others while playing the game as it is supposed to be played! Fighting against one another, and doing everything to make it impossible for your opponent to create a potion. Our goal was to give people a good laugh during times like this. My artists were very happy to hear that you liked their hard work with creating this cozy witchy setting :)

The game is very pretty, the textures on the 3d models look really good and fit right in with the 2d assets. This would have been so much fun to see a physical version of, especially if you could reach for the other players buttons and screw up their spells!

The ingredients list is a good idea in theory, but makes the game more into a memorizing game. Maybe having less spells, or less things to mix with? But on the other hand when two players share one cabinet, it adds to the competition. So it's a difficult problem to solve.

Otherwise, really fun game! Worked well for me

Thank you for playing the game!

As you might have understood, this is actually an arcade game, and the potion book feels much more natural as a physical copy with the actual controllers. We did play around with an in game potion book though, to make the game feel more coherent when you play it on a keyboard. We would have loved to have both options if there was enough time.

We aimed to push the players to disturb one another in the potion making, which is more obvious with the arcade controllers since the shelf button is huge. A pro tip though: You can still be sneaky and press the "E" or "right shift" button for the other person if you are quick enough. This drives my friends crazy, but it's too much fun not to mess with the other person and it brings out a lot of laughter!

We are all glad you enjoyed the game!

The controls for releasing ones ingredients into the cauldron is entirely unreliable - reacting only ones in perhaps ten attempts. There's a potentially interesting game here, but it's very hard to discover recipes on ones own. With the PDF recipe book you're basically asking your player to memorize homework in order to play, which seem like a failure of game design to me.

Thank you for playing the game and taking your time to give critique! We are aware of the shelf bug, sadly it seems to differ alot from computer to computer and we weren’t able to recreate it enough to fix it. Thank you so much for your time!
