I like the pixel art and overall theme. I also liked how you took the theme.
I would have appreciated a bit more gameplay elements, though. And maybe a little less reading...? lol
Overall, nice atmosphere, nice story :)
Unfortunately a teeny tiny bug caused the interactivity to completely disappear - you're meant to be able to replace some words with your own. Oh well, lesson learned :P
I'd love to see the post-jam version of this after you patch the green underlines, this looks like it has a lot of potential! The art style is cute and the writing is solid, but I want to know how we were going to get to interact! (And high-five from a fellow 'well if its folklore you need a campfire!' dev).
I commented this on your game's submission page as well but your campfire scene is beautiful!
Thank you. All credit on that goes to frogsyyy, I just hooked up the code and added some sound & particles to it. He has a fully animated campfire version sitting in our repo to post up after the jam lockout finishes!
Our game also has a story told around a campfire too! I enjoyed the story. If you implement the fix later on would love to check it out
Shame you did not get to get the lines in, it seems it could be a very cool concept! Would love to play it if you manage to implement it later!
Cute art style! Unfortunately, I could not find the green underline in any of the texts and I played through twice just to make sure. It might be because I was on Firefox? I did like this interpretation of folklore however, as in showing how folklore can come about.
Thanks for the heads up! That's a very unfortunate bug for me to miss - that seems to be happening no matter what. Oh well, I guess it's just a story now!
