Neat concept. I feel like I'd prefer if the sun either moved gradually or had some kind of visible timer (maybe a clock?), since I always seem to take a small amount of damage when the shadows rotate. I feel like just a small amount of health regeneration would help counteract this too, plus it wouldn't make the game too easy since you still need to keep moving.

Very good idea, the theme is well respected and the use of the wild card is perfect! For a first 3D game I think it looks good, it makes me want to try it too!

I find the game difficult at first, but once you understand the mechanics it becomes satisfying.

Well done :)

A game with a nice idea. I think that the game would benefit from having the vampire regen his health when he is in the shadows, as the timing can feel a bit harsh. It is a nice base to expand upon. Congrats for the entry!

Thank you!

Yeah, I agree with you on that. Actually, there is a "hidden" (didn't have time to make a tutorial) mechanic in the game for regen: when a plant is fully grown it is too big to be picked up, but the shade is so strong that you actually regenerate health while in it :)

A very cute idea to have a vampire trapped in a green house. Very clever. The idea of moving the plants around and watering them to get shade is fun. Congrats on your first GWJ entry! :)

Developer

Thank you so much! :) I'm glad you like the idea.

Wow that's really something special. I loved all the mechanic, it's an amazing idea. The timings may need some balance, but it's already very playable and enjoyable.

Add more visual content, some music, levels, maybe different plants that will behave differently and we will have a REALLY awesome game, in my opinion.

Oh wow, thank you! I wasn't expecting such positive feedback :)

Totally agree with you, I even had some ideas for different plants that have some different negative effects when they grow too much (wanted to include the Betrayel Wildcard).

Maybe really think about postjam version? I feel there is a lot of potential.
