Nice idea, but I couldn't really get how to play without looking at the comments section.
cute graphics :3
This is a cool idea! I don't know if I fully understand what's going on- I made some hybrid plants but I don't know exactly how to feed the pumpkin on the right lol. I think there are little things you can do to help convey things a little more clearly (Like having the icon in the shop for buying blood be more clearly tied to the watering can. Either have the same icon on the watering can or make the shop icon be a watering can with the blood symbol next to it or something. Little things like that can help a lot).
I think this is just a skill issue on my part, but I couldn't really figure out how to play the game lol. I mean I found out how to plant seeds and pick them up and water them, but didn't figure out how the "combining" works.
You got a seed called hybridium! Put it between two other plants to grow a hybrid plant! Simple as that! But it isn't a skill issue, I didn't find to code/ integrate a way to clearly explain it!
I really enjoyed this! Sadly couldn't finish it (got 6 out of the 7 and couldn't figure out that 7th combination: got all the 2-combination ones though). I definitely have a weakness for farming games, and 'find all the combination' style games haha.
I did run into an odd bug though where the text describing the plants harvested was blank (so the box would show up, but no text inside). Might be partly why I was missing what to feed the pumpkin haha, but really enjoyed it nonetheless.
VERY impressive considering you did this as a solo developer! Very excited to see what you work on next.
Thank you for playing the game haha! There wasn't an ending per se, I only had time to get the gameplay down and a few ritual patterns! The label bug happens only on first pickup but if you drop and hover over the crop again it will show the proper types! Thank you for the feedback and I hope to offer an even better experience in next jams! :)
Not entirely clear... But a very unique and satisfying concept.
I need to manage to find more time to games more accessible in the future, thank you for the feedback and of course for playing! Glad you found it satisfying!
A lot of work done for being solo! Good job. It was chill and the pumpking accepted my sacrifice, nice
I could have used a refill all blood shortcut tho!
I'm glad you found the game enjoyable! The game initially started with a character you could move but since all interactions are done with the mouse I definetely could have made the shop more simple like buttons or shortcuts for the blood refill! Thanks for the feedback!
Good work! I didn't hear any music unfortunately but I enjoyed the art and relaxing gameplay. I had quite a bit of difficulty understanding what to do -- I still don't know what the shovel is for -- but I think I mostly got the hang of it!
The shovel allows you to refund partially bloodened crops!
Glad you enjoyed it! Unfortunately the music was a last minute implementation, it only plays once and doesn't loop again... Didn't have time to test that part of the game I'm afraid! Initially I wanted to have like a book that would tell you what to do but due to time constraints I had to make most of it fit on the title screen...
