Interesting choice of music you got there :D
The particle effect was pretty cool too
Alright, just want to preface, I think my standards for an Anonymyst™ submission were a little high coming in due to the ambition of previous titles.
I'm now sitting here on the corner of this sectional sofa after watching these leaves grow via the amazing work (with the particle system?), and they've fallen, and now I'm listening to classical music pondering the meaning of life.
What Chapter 5 made me realize is that our existence in this world is temporary. We come in with many other leaves, but each of our destinies are different. Then before you know it, we age and decay and are returned to the soil to fertilize it for the next wave of life, and this becomes our ultimate purpose, even if we don't think we have any in the midst of life. I think clicking the Day / Night button for a slight brightness dim helped expedite this insight.
So Chapter 5: Harvest the Leaves? provided me with as much self-reflection as a Van Gogh would've, if not more.
Thanks for the comments and glad you liked it.
Don't worry I will return back to more ambition projects soon - had limited time last week and spent a lot of lot time playing/learning shaders and yes particles - I will be incorporating them into my future games
Oh and your UI work (and I am sure much of your other contributions) in your submission was awesome, looking forward to your next project
Shame the game wasn't finished, but it was interesting
It made me question everything I know to be true. Well done.
Thanks... I think
I might be memeing by giving you a high rating, but I think the leave generation is super cool. Its really a fun effect. If you had slowed it down a bit, give it a full loop and given it a longer classical music back track, I would leave this on as a desktop companion. It really is just something pretty to stare at.
Thanks for the kinds words and glad the liked my silly submission. I almost didn't submit it but wanted to share the shader/particles work I did for the leaf effects
very beautiful!
Thanks, glad you liked it. I almost did not submit it, but wanted motivation to rate others - like your game - which was great BTW.
