Game Description
A deity called the Sunblob has accidentally dropped their sun onto the central solar panel, breaking both the sun (so it only produces one beam) and the solar panel. In a Solarpunk world where they rely on the sun, this is a huge problem, as the lights in the city go out. Fortunately, and unfortunately, there is a scaredy cat Engineer who can help fix the solar panel! Because he is scared of the dark, the Sunblob must assist and light his way to the solar panel.

How does your game tie into the theme?
The society I built the game in relies on the sun for solar energy, which they primarily rely on. Also, I tie in the Solar into the gameplay, as you must use the light from the sun.

nice idea; it's something different

Thanks! I got this idea trying really hard to fit all the wildcards and theme, and this is what I got!

I can tell you had fun with this! I enjoyed the story and the puzzles. Great job!

Thanks! I did have a lot of fun with it, especially the drawing haha. I don't have the best artistic skills, so I just decided to go with what I could do. Appreciate it!

Marking you high for originality! I love a good puzzle game, and this is a pretty unique mechanic as far as I know.

Given that I think you were shooting for a genuine puzzle game, a couple of things detract from that in my opinion. 1) Having to continually tap to move large areas which have no logical reason to be in the puzzle is frustrating. 2) The quick stun-and-move which is required for a lot of the puzzles isn't easy to do, and it makes the game more of a timing game (at least for me) than a pure puzzle game.

Not trying to be too harsh because I really think you have a good idea with the main mechanic, it could be fleshed out and polished into a complete game, imho. :)

Thanks for the feedback! Also thanks especially for the comments about the main mechanic, I wanted to make a puzzle game, and thought really hard about how to fit that into the theme. Feels really nice that you think it's a good idea for a mechanic. For the feedback, I really did want to cut down on the size (because it was essentially empty space) and make the stun mechanic less timing based, but I ran out of time so I just dealt with what I had haha. Appreciate it!

I liked the idea, also the grid based movement.

Some audio wouldv'e been nice.

Thanks! Yea, I wanted to add at least a little bit of audio, but I realized that I had basically no time in the end haha. So I needed to cut that out. Appreciate it!

The moving felt a little clunky. Switching between the guy & asteroid just didn't feel intuitive. I would've just made one control with WASD & the other with arrow keys. The level design gets a little tiresome, as only the ends of the levels are used for design, & the middle is ignored. Overall, a fine game.

Thanks for the feedback! Near the end, I did want to clean up a lot of things like you said, but I didn't plan well and didn't have enough time at the end to fix all of that. Appreciate it!
