Solid work! It's a simple, but addictive. One problem I encountered was that the controls were messed up on my computer. Instead of jump and slash being tied to a and x, it was q and z, which was a bit awkward. I also recommend allowing a full screen mode

Bounce Blade(Windows 10)
You're a swordsman(a white dot) who uses the weight of your weapon(rectangle) to maneuver in the air racking up aerial combos against jellyfish enemies who progressively quicken with each combo. Kill as many as you can before hitting the ground again.
Each element of the game has multiple uses. Your weapon is used to change momentum mid air, to kill enemies and to bounce off orbs and enemies helping you stay in the air longer.
Enemies are used to generate combo points, kills grant energy, and you can bounce off enemies with a sword swipe.
Orbs can be jumped on by the player replenishing your energy or you can slash them, expelling all your energy for a super powerful blast that will hopefully kill some enemies giving you some energy back.
I feel this game has so much potential, but I could only spend about a full days work on it sadly. I'll flesh the project out further for sure, thanks for inspiring me with this jam!
Third-party resources
I used the latest Game Maker Studio 2, All artwork is original, I used a tool called ChipTone to help generate the sound effects.
