A simple dice rolling simulator with purchasable modifiers. If you want to go the "idle game esque" route like the modifier menu suggests, I'd say make the rolls much quicker, many more dice be on screen, add different types of upgrades, go mad with the idea!

I have just tested the game! :)

The visuals are simple but neat. And another nice detail is how you factorised the amount of a roll depending on how many times some value appears. :) I like how the dice disappear buried in the ground, too.

The way the game is played is also simple but neat. I would say this is clean work (just too bad some pictures seem to be lacking, see below).

Some ramblings and suggestions:

  • I think some instructions would have helped a bit (although I managed to understand how to play). By the way, you can still put/write them on the game’s page!
  • In the questionnaire:
How does your game fit the theme?
    yes

You had me laughing with that answer. XD Whether this is a joke or you thought it to be self-evident, I think you can still edit the page and get more explicit (a short description of the concept should do). ;)
  • There is a little rendering bug that makes some dots from at least the upper side of some dice disappear depending on the angle. Maybe because the 2D image plane is coincidental to the die’s face?
  • Also, some dice can get out of the field, while it would have been nice being able to see them all after the roll; I would advise either moving (backwards?) the camera a bit, or allowing the player to rotate the camera (say, by moving the mouse).
  • As an unimportant detail here, I think some sounds (or even music) would have made the experience more pleasant, but that is not required from a prototype in my view when it does not enhance functionality.
  • It seems the points given to the player are systematically higher than the amount produced by the dice… I may be missing something, here. I suspect the 1,000 and 10,000 items (and even others?) are bonuses that enhance the scoring system, but they seem to lack a picture, so I was not able to see how they act; I guess you lacked the time to incorporate a display. Once again, I would recommend explaining in written form on the page: it will help players understand how the game works.
  • The main criticism I see is that the game may lack an objective. It would have been nice to ask of the player to, say, achieve some given score under some number of rolls. Otherwise, while people with a gambling addiction will still be mesmerized, it will be harder to keep the attention of the others. ;)
  • Another idea to have the player more involved would be to change how the dice roll according to the way the mouse is moved, with some varying physics, including speed. Press, move, and release to throw, for example.
  • I stopped there, because I think it would take way too much time to get to acquiring the 10,000 bonus, although I am curious as to what it does; please tell. :) (I included my testing Pomodoro, by the way! X))
