I like the idea, but the gameplay is a bit too simple and easy. The 3-of-a-kind mechanics is a nice touch but would need some more other mechanic to make it more interesting. For example: the machine not only output random amount of drink, it also output random type of drink like a blue drink or a red drink, and the customers only drink one of them. This will present a risk for trying to save up the 3-of-a-kind bonus, and make the game more challenging. It's just a suggestion not criticizing, I know game jam is time-limited so games tend to be simple.

I noticed that this is your first game on the profile, so good job on finishing a game!

Developer

I did try that idea but I  found it to be too frustrating because the machine would never give me the drink I  wanted. With only 3 slots it meant that  you were spending money pouring lots of drinks that you had to  throw away. I totally agree with you and wanted to add more complexity but I ran out of time but didn't want to be frustrate for the player.  I really appreciate the honest feedback and yes this was my first submission ever and it was really hard hahaha. Thank you kyboon!

Cool little game !

The gameplay is simple yet you get caught in it pretty fast.

Took me a little bit to figure out what i was su ppose to click. maybe make the clickeable part stand out more (different outerline, little animation on mouse over, specific color)

The visuals could also use some work to complement the gameplay but for a jam it's enough :)

All in all, it's a pretty nice entry. Nice job :)

Developer

I totally agree that the visuals could have been improved. I made everything from scratch and did my best haha. Next time I need to work with an artist/animator for sure!  Thank you for the feedback

I think this was a great take on the theme!  Enough random to make it fun, but also enough strategy to let the player feel like they have an influence over the outcome.  Well done!

Developer

Thank you ZOM! I 'm glad to hear you enjoyed it!
