It's a fun game and the random events are cool. However, I think at the start of the game you should alter the randomness to spawn some initial enemies. It can take a while for the randomness to spawn anything to shoot.
Yep, it's definitely one of the main problem with my game. After the jam i might try working it out. Thank you for the feedback
