Enjoyed playing the levels and the dice rolling mechanic. Could maybe have some more checkpoints at more difficult sections of the game, since the time to maneuverer back to where you were takes some time currently regardless of how good you are at the beginning sections. Good job on the game!

Developer

That's a great idea - we'll definitely put some checkpoints in as we develop the levels.

Thanks for playing and for the kind words!

The dice roll mechanic is kind of interesting, but I can definitely imagine it getting tedious once you have to keep track of 3+ sides. A little buggy but still cool! One other thing I would change is the player's hitbox, it's way too big.

Developer

I am also interested in if more than 3 sides would start to get annoying/too hard. I am hoping to make a bunch more levels and find out :)

Great shout on the hitbox, I will certainly be adjusting that to find the optimum size. I'll also be ironing out those bugs haha.

Thanks so much for playing and for leaving some great feedback!

Nice to see someone else using gamemaker studio! The gameplay itself is engaging, and functions well.

Maybe I'm being too picky, but I wonder if dice really played a part in the theme here? Maybe it does past the 2nd level but it sort of seems like a dice skin on a game that could have been themed on nearly anything.

But, it definitely works as-is. Well done!

It's a great jam tool for sure I think :)

You're right though, it wasn't easy to keep the dice part of the theme completely relevant. We had many more ideas and some got lost. I hope we can put a bit more work into this in future as see if it can all be made to work a bit tighter.

Thanks for playing and giving your feedback! Very much appreciated!

Really nice game!

I had a much easier time with the controls of this game than many others I've played. It's just a shame it crashed after the first level.

Overall an enjoyable little demo.

Developer(+1)

Yeah sorry about the crash - I guess that happened at the dice stack at the end of the level? All 3 levels are open in Level Select so 2 and 3 can be attempted straight away.

Thanks for the compliments on the controls! We tried to make them simple and easy :) Thanks for playing!

Great job on the game!  I didn't have much experience playing puzzle platforms but I do appreciate the design of the first level teaching me the basics before jumping into more involved puzzles!

Glad you enjoyed, thank you for playing :) Yes we thought to start simple and build up - still, it is a challenge to get that right haha.

Very Nice! Great level design

Developer

Thanks a lot, I wish we had had more time to polish the levels we have and create more!
