Unfortunately, the game didn't work for me. I was able to Press Start and the Monster appeared on screen, but then no Dice appears where the background indicated they should and clicking anything would not work.
It's a shame. The background and Monster Design looked interesting from the screenshots.
I apologize for my English
The game was passed, I enjoyed it and the visual style is nice.
Thoughts I caught myself during the game:
1) The pure random mechanics could be tied to reaction, which would leave the player's assessment of his skill. That is, I now realize that almost nothing depends on me and can only pray to the gods of random, so as not to lose
2) The growth of the difficulty curve. After a few unsuccessful attempts I realized that it was easier and easier to pass all the opponents with one die than to roll several dice at once. In conjunction with the ability to roll, the game's difficulty function was linear
3) I would not count the draw as a player, but leave everything unchanged, because even before my roll, if the opponent rolled a number 1, it meant an easy plus 1 to my victory.
As I wrote above, pleasantly stuck for 20 minutes project, good job guys, good luck!
Wow! 20 minutes is a lot ) Thank you for thorough feedback!
If I decide to continue working on this, I will use your notes to improve the gameplay for sure
Reaaaly like arts, game look super cool. The game has interesting idea but it feels like something is missing in gameplay so it kinda frustrating after few minutes.
Anyway, good job!
Yeah, it kinda lack the gameplay depth, but it is how it is )
Thank you for playing!
I liked this game's aesthetic, really cute. The gameplay was... well, it was a bit confusing at first, but once I realized the rerolls were the resource I was managing to keep an upper hand, the game made way more sense. I did find a frustrating bug, however, in that if I only have one die left, even if I win the duel, the game still ends for some reason.
Thank you for your feedback!
Also, thank you for finding this bug - it would be easier to fix it )
Nice artwork :)
Cute Game! I loved the art-style. the concept of you're health bar being how many times you can attack is a great idea. though some of the background elements where a little buggy, like the re-reroll buttons, some of them just wouldn't work occasionally, and the music stopped after a certain point . but other than that its a cute game. I would recommended that you put a sound when you can't click on any more dice just as a little heads up. but other than that its a fun game!
Thank you very much for playing our game! Glad you had fun with it!
Bug are inevitable :)
Nice game! Interesting combat system, although it's essentially pure RNG. However, the flickering dice sprites give the illusion that maybe it might be possible to rig the rolls, like in the King Dice bossfight in Cuphead. I did try my best to do this, and often failed, but when I actually tried, I did feel like I was getting higher rolls more consistently at least. Maybe if you slowed the flickering down slightly, so it's more obvious there's a small element of skill to it? (If there is one, I could have been all wrong lol)
The vector art is absolutely amazing. The alien designs are so unique and the game uses such a clever and vibrant colour palette which is so attention-grabbing. This is a really cool game, which deserves a lot more attention!
Well it is possible to catch the rythm, when you rolling, but it needs time to get used to it. Cool that you tried !
Thank you for your kind words about our game!
