The idea of changing the puzzle to create a path while getting rid of enemies is quite interesting, but I don't think the randomness really brings anything the design : Since enemies only come when I move myself, there is no pressure from having to roll the dice several times, it's just feels like forced mechanic.
The game has nice visuals, but there is one big issue : It takes a lot of time to figure out how the game works because of the snow on the border of dices. If it was just tiles, I would have understood right away how it worked. Maybe the snow should have been more spread out with borders easily readable.
Really cool idea! It took me a while to understand what was going on (I didn't know where the player character was, and once I found them it took me even longer to figure out that the arrow keys launch the attacks). I think a tutorial or a how-to-play screen in-game would be helpful since I downloaded the game from the jam page which meant I never saw the instructions on the itch page until after. But once I figured out the controls the game was fun and the sound effects were nice too!
It looks nice, but I do not understand how to play? I think I am supposed to line up the cubes such that there's a path from the top left to the bottom right, but I thought I had done so and nothing happened. I also do not understand the icons at the bottom, but maybe those become relevant once the path is correct.
Would love to try this one again with a little better understanding of how it works!
