Pretty interesting game, I'm sure you learnt many things and that your next game jam will be easier!
Thanks for playing my game and for your feedback. Definitely have learned a thing or two to help me in my next game jam.
Nice submission! It's really hard to get a good game going in such a short amount of time!
This looks mostly like it's a Roulette table...? I don't see how the Plants vs Zombie defense mechanism really works to stop the dice from going across the screen. And the spinning mechanism doesn't seem to produce more money after it completes like I'd expect a Roulette table to play. I put all the money on all the things, and it never increased after completing a round. So I'm not sure how well it works with the defense part.
I also game overed, I think? I had $1000 moneys, and I just suddenly went back to the beginning screen.
The graphics are actually pretty good! And I did not encounter the bug you mentioned in your comment.
If you were to continue with the concept, add some way to communicate how the game plays, and what the goal is!
Thank you so much for playing my game and for your feedback! To answer your comments, the PVZ defense mechanic shoots projectiles to stop the dice. If it didn't work for you perhaps the hitboxes may have been misaligned. The table should have paid you double your bet when it landed on your number so I don't know if that may have bugged out. Perhaps it was too small to see because when you bet on one of the special squares it only puts $5 on each number, so you would only get $10. Which was a mistake on my part, I should have balanced it a little bit more. But thank you for pointing that out! And the bug I had mentioned was that you could go into a negative amount of money, but it seems like you didn't encounter that. I had wanted to add a how-to-play menu to the game but didn't have the time, so I just put it in the game's description. But I really do appreciate your amazing feedback and you playing it means the world to me as an aspiring teenage game developer!
I completely get the short time! And I don't think anyone is going to be upset that few of these games are going to be "perfect". Certainly not the game that I made. I'm glad the feedback helps, and look forward to seeing what else you create in the future!
So this game didn't turn out so well, this was the first game jam where I had to work so I had no time at all. And I didn't notice the massive game-breaking bug until after it was submitted, sooooo, sorry about that, but please enjoy!
