I feel like there should be a basic dice that does damage that can't be replaced. The way the game is set up now, you can only really have one special die while your primary has to be the damage dealing one.
I enjoyed the basics of movement, it felt responsive to move around bullets and kite enemies. I think the effects of each die should be communicated before you select them.
It was fun to dodge and weave around all the obstacles and projectiles. Oh, note! Sometimes the sword enemies could hit the player without colliding.
