Very cute! The scaling of the graphics was a little weird tho.
Congratulations on your submission! I have framed pictures of ducks in hats in my house, so when I saw that artwork I knew I had to try this one out.
I would have loved if the pace to the game was a bit quicker, and a cool idea would be to also have all the modifiers be random, a bit like picking up a ? box in mario kart. Great concept though and really cool you now have something you build on top of!
The game looks really cute
But i feel the mechanic doesn't do a lot except just making movement more annoying and there is not really a challenge except trying to get the least amount of turns
The mechanic is well made tho i like the modifier and that you can get multiple dice to improve. and that you can choose to go through a negative modifier if that is the best route.
Thanks for the feedback!
I definitely do agree there's really not a whole lot to the game, but we're proud of it as it was our first go at development and it could've been way worse.
Good to know there's some good elements here, let's hope our next venture will be way better.
Neat little game. Cute and fun. Would've liked if the paths before the final level were more elaborate. The pillar paths with the dogs with only one proper path was pretty obvious and felt kind of weird compared to the level before it and the level after. Otherwise, neat little game.
Hey, co-developer here and I guess you could say lead level designer.
I totally get your criticism and agree with it, we just ran out of time as this was first our ever foray into game development and lot of it was spent just figuring out the basics.
We're super glad to know someone enjoyed it, though, as we really felt it just wasn't gonna be it.
