neat game very fun with a cool concept the only problem is it's maybe too easy maybe adding new ennemies and tower types after the jam ?

Cool concept, had fun !

Fun game! I like the idea that getting kills also has downsides.  I wish there were more "stages" of the towers though (would take a lot more time though). Anyway, it's nice to be able to see the HP bar of the enemies.  The graphics, music and sound effects are all great. Good job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I agree that more stages of the towers growing would be fun, but as you stated I didn't find the time for it. That's why I added in their size gradually changing as they kill, just to make myself feel better hahah. Thank you for all the compliments, I'm glad you enjoyed the game!

For some reason for me the grown tower stopped shooting on small enemies, forcing me to create more towers continuously. Otherwise a good basic tower defence!

Developer

I see you ran into the main premise! Towers are "build to scale" and thus only attack enemies of a matching size. This does indeed force you to continuously make towers and mix up which towers deal with what enemy. Glad you otherwise enjoyed!

I love the tower defense genre (which is why we made something similar), I like the implementation of different towers. I don't know if it was just me, but sometimes it felt like the towers were not building when I tried to place them. Also it would be nice to see multiple maps, but of course you were limited in time (as we all were). Congrats on your submission!

Developer

Thank you for the kind words and I'm glad you liked the game! I definitely know that the building can feel weird sometimes, but it is what it is. Indeed we were limited by the time.

Pretty fun, though there wasn't much strategy! I picked towers carefully at first, then started placing them at random until I filled the whole map. I was planning on leaving it running until I eventually lost, but the waves stopped advancing at 48 after I tabbed away from the game. Oh well.

Developer

Thank you for playing and enjoying long enough to reach 48! A bug unfortunately stops the game there, and it's true that the strategy isn't exactly "balanced". Glad you enjoyed it either way

i've been really enjoying this, im on wave 44 and i think ive filled in every spot i can. i tried to upload an image but it's too big. really cool to see it all filled out though!

edit: got through wave 48 and it started repeating the wave timer on wave 48with no more goblins coming. i think i beat it!

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad you played the game long enough to discover the bug I accidentally created at the last minute. My intention was for it to continue afterwards, and it used to I swear! hahah

nice game! I would have liked to see the tower ranges

Developer

Thank you! Oddly, tower ranges was a feature I struggled to implement

I've been trying to play these games without looking at what the gimmick is, and I was so shocked when my turrets stopped shooting the small guys. A really fun take on the tower defense mechanic

Developer

Hahah nice, I'm sure once you realised it was quite the moment! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Nice job. There's a bit of a positive feedback loop going on, over time I accumulated so many large units that no large enemy could take more than a few steps and so much money I could spend without worry. Perhaps it could have someway of damaging or removing the largest/oldest units so I'm having something taken away from me.

Developer

Yep, 100% agreed, the balance is certainly off. Otherwise, glad you enjoyed and thank you for playing.

Like the initial tower-growth concept - I believe there is much potential depth to it.

Feel like the variety of towers was a little bit unnecesarry. Not like the game doesn't need them at all - afterall it's the stamp of the genre to have different towers to pick from - but I just wish that the growth mechanic would be properly explored first. It would be cool to have 1-2 more creative growth uses implemented in the game and only after that I would love to see what other towers can do. This way the game would feel more focused on its main idea.

Beyond the mechanics I simply enjoyed a nice pace of waves comming in. Also the shooting sound, visuals and damage felt pretty satisfying making the game fun and cozy to play.

Good job!

Developer

Thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed it! I think you're right that the growth didn't feel as big of a mechanic as it could have. If I were to improve on the game further, more aspects of growth would 100% be the plan.

Loved this game, was very cozy to play <3 Good job!

Thank you! <3

This game was pretty interesting! I liike how the towers scale and get bigger over time, but it felt unintuitive that the bigger turrets could not attack the small enemies, especially when all of your turrets will eventually become big. Over time you might run out of space to place small turrets. Also it would be nice to have price tags on the towers. It's quick to figure out that they are all 100 but initially you are confused.

Developer

I'm aware that some elements are not the most intuitive, but I'm glad you can see past initial confusion to find the game still interesting.

Cool tower defense game.

Developer

Thank you!

I LOVED this premise! It was unclear at first why my larger tower wasn't hitting the smaller mobs (because I don't read), once it clicked the game instantly made sense to me.  I can see this game really expanded and taken in multiple directions. Great job!

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it

Pretty fun lil tower defense game, great great job! It was really fun getting super overpowered, but I found that the scaling mechanic makes the game super hard, maybe make it so that when your towers grow bigger, they produce more money per kill to make sure you can place new small ones?

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I've considered multiple things of what could be done to balance or improve. Glad you enjoyed!
