start playing the game, instantly get lost because of my dump sense of direction. overall this game really give the vibe of horror and spooky. but i personally would make the character move slowly if it in the largest state. nice game.

Super atmospheric.... it's a little spooky in the caves! I felt a little lost at times, especially when searching through the cracks for extended periods without finding an interest point, never the less, it's an awesome interpretation of the theme! Kudos!

Moody and atmospheric spelunking. Nice controls, I like them (I would change scaling to mouse wheel, though, feels more natural - my personal thought)

The instant-end bug happened twice to me, and I get to play on my 3rd attempt, by rapidly getting away from the campfire - there is probably a trigger issue there...

The cave environment felt a little too repetitive, even for a cave environment. Some color variation at the very least would've been nice & help us find our way a little (And maybe a map interface, somewhere..?) The overall atmosphere is otherwise great, and the way it gets claustrophobical when you zoom in was really cool :)

Congrats on your submission!

Thanks for your detailed reply! My biggest gripe with the game is also the bland-looking caves that look too similar from an outside perspective, I think it was me working with the map and really learning it inside and out over a few days that blinded me to how similar it all is. (oops)

The instant-end bug was a very simple issue, there is an integer to count how many crystals you have collected, this plays specific voice lines, and enables the end trigger. The problem came from me manually setting that integer to the max value for debugging the ending sequence in my haste to export the game... Which also disables most of the voice lines and plays the ending line at the start of the game along with enabling the ending trigger. The worst part for me is that is was a super easy fix once I discovered it, and I will update the submission to the fixed version after ratings close.

I am very happy to see your constructive feedback and I'll be sure to check out your game as well!

Aahh the dreaded jam-time; always makes us leave accidental debuggers everywhere :D Anyways, I'll check your game again after the jam ;)

Really simplistic but good execution, The sound effects and changing scales felt good and snappy, only problem was when i was as tiny as could be and bumping those corners on diagonals, player sprite is simple and nice. My biggest gripe was that When i had all of the crystals the hardest part was actually finding the campfire again. Oh and I did run into the bug with the voice lines and instant game end. Good job on the atmosphere and voice acting though the sound distortions on the clips and the clicks really sold the whole "deep underground" feel.

Really liked it, was directly immersed. Smooth shrinking and growing mechanic.
