Fun game, there's something really satisfying about stacking all of these random objects and trying to stay on top! I like the artstyle and reusing your logo as an object is a nice touch.
Took me a while to figure out that in order to buy something it has to be dragged into the upper left corner. Also I think it would be cool if the camera zoomed out once you lose to show the tower you've built.
Nice one, the visuals and audio are really nice.
As mentioned in another comment I didn't really understand how the shop was meant to work. I could sell cards, but didn't seem to buy new ones? Maybe it's related to the bug you mentioned.
Thanks for trying out our game!
We'll have to figure out a better way to communicate this. Basically you have to sell a card to buy more cards. But if you sell more cards than you buy, the game will refill your deck with low-tier cards. This is to ensure that your deck is always at 20 cards.
If you used the black-bar card with the orange border, then yes the bug mentioned below applies and that could also be why it would not let you buy cards.
We are sorry that your experience was inhibited by these issue. We plan to fix, rework, and add content after the voting time is over
Thanks!
Nice looking game! Mechanics are simple and intuitive. The only thing, I could ask you to add is a big sign "GO UP"... because it took for me like 1 minute to understand the goal of the game xD. Not saying this for everyone, but I only learned in this jam that "scale" could mean going up (English is not my native language). Keep it up!
This was great fun but the black bar card really damped the experience after I figured out the mechanics. Made the game far too easy.
I ended up getting to 10k height before softlocking myself in a shop by accident, but I could have climbed as high as I wanted with the black bar cars as I could cycle to them very easily.
I also couldn't figure out the purchasing mechanic as at one point my deck was marked as 'full' no matter how many cards I sold.
Overall very fun, would absolutely play a full version with some tweaks to the formula!
Yeah, I very unfortunately accidentally broke the black bar half an hour before submission closed and didn’t realize it until after. It’s supposed to be single-use, and it breaks the game because it adds a card to the deck to replace itself, meaning the deck limit is exceeded.
This will be fixed immediately after the jam ends. Glad you were still able to enjoy this broken version anyway. Thanks for playing!
Loved this, I was weirdly relaxed as I climbed into the sky. I wasn't 100% on how the shop or deck worked, I couldn't buy new cards even after selling one and then cards I sold would reappear in my deck? Either way, very serene and fun game! Played for about an hour before deciding I should go see other games in the jam.
Thank you for trying our game!

There is also a bug mentioned in a previous comment by my development partner that causes your deck to exceed 20 cards that could have been preventing you from buying more cards.

Cool physics! I love this tower building game! Guess I haven't figured out everything yet, but i will keep trying!
Cool game! I like the bacon & eggs theme throughout
Pretty fun game. It's really hard to build tower without it falling down. I like the art.
