How does your game fit the theme?
The theme for this game jam was "Built To Scale". I interpreted that as building a game that observes two different scales of perspective. The tower defense-ish portion deals with a solar system-level scale as you defend from interstellar invaders, and walking around the planets is much smaller in scope with a variety of tasks to complete to upgrade the tower. Aside from the theme, the driving force behind this idea was to make a tower defense game where there's much more going on than usual, and you have a pressing urgency to get back and defend each wave. This was lightly inspired by the night time levels in Pikmin 4 hehehehe.

Really fun to play! Agh I got stuck on the bug juice planet and died but it was cool how the different planets have different ways to get energy
thank you!! the bugs are capped at 10 bugs at once but i thought it was pretty funny/annoying to get bopped by them and fall back down to the ground when you really need to leave hahaha
Love the idea! I did have a hard time with the platforming though, so I couldn't make it back to the tower lol
Hahaha understandable. If I had a little more time I wanted to add a sort of exit button that would bring you back automatically but disable the tower for a bit as penalty. Thanks for playing!!
Cool idea! I liked the mix of genres, I do kind of feel the platforming was a little underdeveloped and a bit fiddly, but not bad at all!
Hehehe thank you for playing! This was my first jam and I think my scope was maybe a tad larger than it should've been hahaha.
This gameplay is so unique and clever! I love that the gameplay half platforming and half tower defense/space invaders. For the platforming section I felt like I was speedrunning a platformer (feels familiar) so that was pretty cool. I struggled to make it very far but maybe I just need to seek skill. Would love to see this be further developed!!!

Exploring planets was super cool, I found it difficult to aim though, maybe the station could autofire too so that the game could lean into a survivorslike planet defense.
ohhh i see what you mean. i didnt want the station to be too powerful and become the center of the gameplay but it is PRETTY weak in the current build haha. thank you for playing!!
