This game is a rage game. And like the other rage game I played in this jam, “Built For It”, I enjoyed this one a lot, except I like this one even more. The fish just go all over the place and are very hard to lead. Markiplier lines like “NO! STOP! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” kept rolling in my head. The idea of having to manage the size of your school to get through the reef and avoid obstacles fits the theme of the jam very well. The pixel art looks great and the music is fun to listen to. I liked everything about this game and I think you did a great job!

Developer

Jajaja. Thanks for playing and having fun with it. It means a lot to me that you both raged and enjoyed it.

Oh wow I love the idea. I felt so good then I lost my first fish and was like nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo FISHY NOOOOOOO. Anyway great puzzle idea to grow making it harder to dodge what the level throws your way without fully dying and having to restart I like it .

I love how the swarm of fish moves a bit randomly so you can never be perfectly sure they're not going to get hurt when you move - feels a bit like herding cats but there's just enough control that it doesn't feel unfair. That must've taken a lot of testing to get right!

Developer(+1)

Jajaja. Never thought of herding cats being similar to schooling fish. Thanks for playing!

Cute little game; nice art and music. I did find the font to be a bit difficult to read at times. Regardless I think the fish collecting thing is a neat idea.

Developer(+1)

You're right. Had a bit of problem turning normal fonts into TextMeshPro fonts. I'll learn how to do it correctly for next time. Thanks for playing!

honestly, biased. Think fish are neat, fun game.

Developer(+1)

Jajaja. Thanks! Hopefully you enjoyed this.

These fish crave the sweet embrace of spikes, and also every single corner. It's like herding catfish  :)

(in a good way, it was fun)

Developer

Thank you for trying the game! And yes! I was hoping someone felt that way (about the herding, not the spikes).

I'll check out your game soon!
