If I take something from this jam is that everybody hates hikers, however I cannot oversee the rip-off from the critically aclaimed "Do not climb the mountain", from which it takes waaay more than inspiration.

Now being serious, the game is really fun, with a simple mechanic but oh man is it satisfying. I also really appreciate the game design decisions where the boulders are closer to the road the higher in the mountain you are. However I cannot agree with the decision of making the boulders smaller eventually, because I think I would have loved an avalanche of rolling boulders. But still probably was a decision they made after testing and I'm probably wrong.

Anyhow, lovely FUN game and incredibly cool to see someone have the same idea as we had but having a completely different approach. Congratulations on the game ^^

Thanks so much for the feedback, fellow hiker-hater! 😉

Making the boulders smaller was more of a technical solution, honestly. We ran into the problem where some boulders and hikers would get clogged at choke points, which either very slowly bumped off hikers, or the AI movement would get very confused leading to a soft-lock. So, a last minute solution was to give the boulders a lifespan in case things like this went wrong... but would've loved to lean even more into the avalanche of rolling boulders!

Most of the project was figuring out the level design, trying to make the path wide enough for the hikers to move, and making it so that boulders wouldn't always fly off the mountain, which was super interesting

Very simple yet very fun mechanic! Super creative to have the player controlling the hazards and dropping boulders on unsuspecting hikers!

Visuals are simple but effective too!

Nice work :)

Thank you, we appreciate the kind words! We were thinking about A Short Hike and thought how we can reverse the roles of that game and that's how we came up with this! :>

Well so far this is the most unique idea I've seen yet, so you got a 5 on Creativity from me! Really fun, very intuitive and straightforward to get into. Excellent job on this. Funny enough, our game is also Greek mythology inspired!

Congrats on a jam well done!

Wow thanks a lot for that, we appreciate it! Haha that is awesome, we will be giving your game a try! :D

Like the idea, just wish there was some variation in the boulders/hikers. Also, it felt like many boulders just slid off the mountain instead of rolling down as I'd hoped lol

Thanks for the feedback! We definitely felt the same! Definitely something to be fixed if we continue to expand the prototype. We also wanted to fix some of the boulder collision as it sometimes doesn't have the expected result
