I really liked your art-style and the controls felt snappy (also the hit animation is great). People have pointed this out already but the tie to the theme seems a bit weak, other than that, nice work!

Thank you!

I didn't really see how this was connected to the jam theme.

Having said that however, I really enjoyed the game and the ideas it was playing with. So much so that I could definitely see myself playing a full released version of it.

The game felt great to play in spite of a few bugs I found and the short playtime. The overall presentation was great and if you can fix a few things like the balancing, then you could have a great game on your hands.

Thank you! Next time I’ll make sure to show the theme better.

The game itself is very well put together. the controls feel good, the music adds to the urgency and the sounds feel impactful. I enjoy the i-frames as well, nice tough.  Aside from not fitting the theme. I felt incentivized to actually kill myself for my health and dmg boost, Just sitting on my last life and wrecking the boss.  If this game had a bit more time, and some more thought on the mechanics of joining together multiple elements, not just adding to your stats, this could have been a really solid entry.

Thank you for the feedback! Next time i'll make sure to show the theme better.

Fun game! Controls are good and responsive, the sounds really help to add impact to your actions, the visuals were pretty great and fitting to the gameplay. My only complaint would for the second battle. I think you should have made the spikes and other stuff that can hurt you contrast more and be more distinct, because as it stands I found they blended in too much with the background and were hard to keep track of. Also, as the other comment said, I don't see a connection to the theme in the gameplay, unfortunately. The game is still a cool concept though!

I would have enjoyed more stages, the game was too short in my opinion. Other than that great gameplay and enjoyed what was there! (Great usage of the theme I think when you know what it is). The artwork is great too!

it crashed :(

impressive game but I don't think it fits the theme.

Developer

Unfortunately I didn’t have time to finish the game as much as I wanted so the ending seems abrupt it was spouse to crash. Thank you for the feedback though.  Also it fits the theme because the souls of your past life combine with your current life and the player gains more health and damage. That’s what the 3 dots were in the top left I didn’t have time to say that in the game.  But thank you so much for playing my game!!!

Developer

I’m sorry if your game crashed and it wasn’t the ending. If then could you describe what the boss looked like when it crashed because the ending is spouse to be a blue screen then crash.

I would argue that it doesnt fit the theme. I understand that as your past selves die, your present self gets stronger. But in my opinion that isnt reflected in a gameplay sense. Yes, you get more health and hit harder, but that doesnt feel like 3 of me are joined together. The game was fun and I had fun killing the boss and "crashing" myself, but I dont feel that the theme was present here. Sorry

Its alright, I understand what your saying. Sadly I didn't get time to show it in game.
