How does your game fit the theme?
Control your stack and all those annoying book nerds... er... magicians. Walk with WASD and move the camera with the mouse, use the left button to add a book in your pile, take the requested books to the empty table and right click to deliver it. Or use a controller, A(❌) to pick up, and X(🟥) to drop it. Our Intern didn't have time to clearly create more of the game part, the objectives and score and such, so just enjoy the experience of having a barely controlled pile of books to walk around with and way to many requests with an uncooperative magical book spawner.

I'm pretty confused. The controls are unclear. There's no way to exit that I can see. I don't really get how this fits the theme either. I guess because it's hard to keep up with the books? It's pretty though!

ops sorry about that, we finished what we could in such a hurry some stuff was left behind 😅 I changed the game jam description to add some context, if you want to see it and give us some feedback it'd be greatly appreciated 🧡 anyway tnks for the feedback \o/

Design: The game needs more objectives. Even just a minute timer and score tracker could be enough to give this game some  more meaning.

Presentation: The game looks nice and is well lit. Some intense music could have helped the pacing.

Theme: This is what I feel is the weakest aspect of the game. Without an objective, I could pretty much do whatever I wanted at whatever pace I wanted.

Thanks for the feedback 🧡 we didn't have time to work on the more gamey part, the objectives and whatnot, game jam feels over here. but it's really cool seeing how the worst part really is what we didn't have time to do, anyway, thanks again for the feedback \o/

I really loved the art style and atmosphere of this game! I'm also a big fan of the wonky physics and a huge pile of books! That said, I was a bit confused about the winning condition. Which books did I have to deliver? How do I get points? I wish that was conveyed to the player a bit more. Overall a really nice-looking  and -feeling little experience! :)

Thank you for you comment and I'm really happy to see you enjoyed 😁😁 I'm really glad to see that the only gripe you have is the part we didn't have time to do hehehe. The idea was to have requested books that you need to deliver to the table and books that you need to deliver to the bookshelves, like how librarians help people get books and organize books back into place, and do wall that in the best time possible while controlling you book stack. Well that was the big plan, but we are really happy with what we ended up doing and that you enjoyed!!! (oh right, I'm the game artist, the submission is in our studio account)
