How does your game fit the theme?
In ThINKER you don't have control over the objects you're gonna make/the resources you'll get. Because of this you don't have control over what's happening.

Let me say that I love this idea a lot. I was really excited to play and thought the idea of MacGyvering an object with random stuff would be cool, and I think fits the out of control theme.

However, there are a couple of things that made the game less enjoyable for me.  Like, I really want you to add these things because I'd actually play this outside of the jam just for fun. It reminds me of putting stuff together in Gmod, but that being the actual goal of the game.

1) Physics are inconsistent. Objects have realistic physics simulated onto them against other objects, but when the object is being held it doesn't simulate physics against the world. This goes counter intuitive with my thinking, and disappointed me a lot when I wanted to rotate something in a particular way, and hoped by pushing it against the wall it would rotate, only to have it noclip through it.  The player also isn't constrained at all by the walls.

I also wanted to throw things a lot. Like I'd get the shipment, and want to throw an object across the room. But as soon as you stop holding something, it's velocity and momentum resets and it just falls straight down.

2) I really think there should be a more precise way of rotating. Like keep the free rotation, but also give an option for 90 degree rotation, so I can make an object stand up straight without fiddling with it forever. (That's why I kept wanting to smack things against the wall, to force it to stand up)

3) I think this game needs at least ONE way of sticking things together. I'm not getting the feeling of 'tinkering' or 'MacGyvering' because as of right now all I can do is balance objects carefully. If I could have a roll of tape, and make two things stick together, I feel it would make the gameplay so much more fun.

Currently, this game feels more like I'm setting up a scene to generally represent an object, but it would be so much cooler if I were legitimately tinkering with things and building make-shift objects. Like if I were given pvc pipes, boxes, and trashcans, and my objective was "Table", it'd be so cool to stick the pipes to the trashcans as stands, and then tape together the boxes to make a surface, and then tape all of that to the legs and make a table that I could pick up and throw around. I love the idea of having to do my best to make a functional thing with random objects.

Without the adhesion, a lot of times it feels impossible to do anything. My first objective was "wardrobe", and I got a thing of skateboards, huge steel bars, and toilet paper. What I really wanted to do, was make the shape of a wardrobe out of the steel bars, tape the skateboards on the inside to make shelves, and then maybe put the toilet paper on top of it. But because all I can do is balance, and there is no snapping-rotations, and the objects would always bounce out when they noclipped through the ground, I didn't feel like I could really tinker or do anything. I started with a pile of junk and ended with a pile of junk.

This is a really cool game idea, and I actually want to see you continue this. This is such a cool idea, and I know that this is your first game jam, so you might not have had much time to do a lot, but this is a really cool game that I want to see more of

Hey! Thank you so much for playing and taking time out of your day to give us this feedback!

Let me answer every bit of feedback:

1. I'm having some problems with things clipping through walls. It's something I'm still working on though! It will definitely at one point be fixed! In the next update the player's collision with the walls will have been fixed!

I thought of the ability to throw as well! It's nice to see somebody else is interested. I'll definitely look into this! (adding it to my todo list immediately)

2. I've had someone else tell me they'd like an easier way to rotate on a certain axis. Although our intention was to deliberately make everything difficult, I can imagine it's nice to have the option to rotate something only on one axis (adding this to the todo list as well!)

3. I hadn't thought of this one yet, and I'll definitely have to discuss this. I see where you're coming from and it's definitely an interesting idea, but as of now I'm not sure if this will be a feature in the future! (I'll add it to the ideas list!)

Again, thank you for playing! And I hope to be able to have you enjoy ThINKER more in the future!
