It is a good idea, but you need sound. The whole point of timing is missed just because you didn't put a music for us to follow otherwise is just frustrating. See how it works on NecroDancer.
Don't wanna be that guy, but I happen to be big into music... And... Well when you say timing, you certainly don't mean av even rhythm unless you go 3/5 to 2/5 to 7/8 to a random 4/4... How do I know when the character will jump if I don't sit and calibrate several times before even trying?
I really enjoyed the game and i rated it, btw if you can try out my game and rate it that would mean a lot :)
I liked it, I would prefer if dying put me back to the start of the level though and not onto the next level, especially because I died a lot.
That is because when you die, you die. To make it realistic and simple, you just die and start the next day with a different person.
