Cute graphics, good start! I included it in my GMTK Game Jam 2019 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)
Basic, sticks to the theme, and works. I don't know if you coded this in or not, but I seemed to always get hearts right in the nick of time. Only issues I had were that the movement is slow and linear (I like momentum personally!) and getting stuck in walls a lot.
