Fun game! I included it in my Geta Game Jam 10 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Thanks a lot for this feedback! Adding sound to the cube does sound like a good idea indeed. We will try and expand on the mechanics aswel! I've been experimenting with a finite amount of restarts to make a player have to think ahead more. Also I agree on adding more difficult puzzle, this could also be done with an extra mechanic.

thanks for checking us out, we had a lot of fun doing this

Hi. It's the third game I play in the game jam. And I liked it, but here's my opinion.
(Also I'm sorry if my english is not perfect, I'm french)

Goods:
-The ambience is very cool. The whole artistic direction (especially the music) is giving a cool mood to the game.
-The square (like if they were popping out). And also the level transitions, like if it were all continuous and "it nevers end" ;)
-The level design is pretty good too (even if the levels are too easy).

Things to change (in my opinion obviously):
-There are too few levels, and the fact that they are in random order make it so we can miss some of them. It could have been cool if they were dozens of levels (that's maybe a lot for a game jam I know) so even if we don't do all of them we can still appreciate a big part of them. Because here I didn't feel like I played 11 differents levels (I don't know maybe I did all of them). So pretty rapidly the game feels like it has given all it had.
-Like I said just before the game is fastly finished, you could have added a few new mechanics, maybe like some square where you can go but it stops you and you can go in any other direction after (I don't know if it's really clear sorry ^^ ). Or maybe some pits which you can fall into... Or even a mod where you control two squares at the same time I don't know, the possibilities are infinite.
-And maybe you could add some sounds effects, like the square popping out or when you beat a level.

Generally:
A good and simple game, but I think you could have done more.

Hi Julink, Thanks for your thorough review of our game! It's much appreciated. Due to work we were unable to put more time in unfortunately, but in the meantime I did a couple of changes. For example the levels are indeed no longer in random order. I made them sequential so won't have to solve the same puzzle twice in a row. Also I figured that after every round of 11 puzzles I rotate them all by 90 degrees, which makes it seem like it's a totally new puzzle! So we now have 44 puzzles instead of only 11 :)

Good call on the extra mechanics, since you're not the only one mentioning this I think I will try and think of some more challenges!

Nice submission! We had a pretty similar take on a puzzle game for the theme.

I particularly liked the visual transition between levels. It would have been neat to see a couple extra mechanics thrown in.

Thanks for checking it out! We do have a lot of similarities alright haha. Good job on the art, I love the snake!

Really cool game. I really like the "cube trail" and transition effects. Good Job!

The mac build of your game cannot be opened. I have the same issue if I download the mac version of my own game  :((
