Super neat idea! I loved the idea of this one. Connecting and disconnecting the sword could sometimes be a little finicky, but overall I really loved it. There is a section where you need to walk backwards and I'm not exactly why it gave you that option since you still far outrun the speed of the moving platform. Platforming felt really nice and checkpoints and deaths were extremely forgiving. Overally, I loved it!
Fantastic work! Really cool ideas and the art is particularly well cobbled together. It looks like I'm playing some kind of weird coloring book. Is all the art taken from public domain sources, or did you create some of it yourself? Regardless, I thought gameplay and art and sound were on point. Lot's of juicy animations helped to polish this experience a lot too, though I'd also say that the hit boxes were a little funky. I always prefer too generous over too stingy, but It might have worked better to make them visually closer to the area, as some jumps appeared to be impossible but were actually pretty simple to make.
Great job overall!
Well, that was certainly interesting! Lots of memes, decent controls, though I can't say I found myself terribly compelled to continue after roaming around the map for a few minutes. It was a little tough to understand exactly what I was meant to be doing.
Loved this! I never actually managed to beat the original, though I did put a fair amount of time into it when it was first released. I think the removal of the copyrighted material was a good choice. The action was great and the power ups were super well done. Only issue I had with it was when multiple bombs got triggered at the same time, it nearly blew apart my speakers, so might be good to normalize the sound there a little bit! That's just a tiny thing though. Overally, fantastic job.
Review left in comments, but excellent game!
