So this is your first game on itch.io? Cool! Welcome to game development, WengerE22! Your game is fine, but if you want to improve it after the game jam is over, I suggest that you do the following:

-Respawn the portals whenever the player falls into the lava.

-Add a hitbox to the lava, so that it would send the player back to their previous spot instead of making them fall forever.

-Add an end screen saying "You win!" or something like that to congratulate the player for reaching the end.

Check out other people's games in this jam if you need further help. You can also check out my game, which is a platformer like yours.

I fell... some say my character is still falling to this day.

Pixabay.com has free sound effects and music, among other things.

Thank you. I will say that I only had 5 days because my partner bailed on me. Plus I didn’t have time to fix the sound and for some reson it came out weird even though It was fine earlier. The only way I could get it to fit the theme was to make it so the dimond keeps the world stable but if it breaks it becomes unstable and the floor collapses.

Doesn’t fit the theme so well, floor disappearing is something unexpected, but original. I think the jump sound needed a trigger once or on a key release condition because you hear it buggy. It gets challenging, and it was nice that text was added to tell the instructions. Art could be better, feels like a compilation of different styles. Next time flip the character when walking left, that would be nice. Keep it up you have a lot of potential!
